| 2007 | The 2007 reunion was held in Las Vegas, NV 20 Sep – 22 Sep 07 and included a day trip to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, CA. The 36 attending members and 26 guests had a great time. The 50 members and guests who made the trip to Fort Irwin received VIP treatment and left with a deep sense of gratitude for how well our troops are trained today. If you have photos, please send them here. The guest speaker at the banquet was CPT Chris L'Heureux who commanded C Troop 4-14 Cav during their deployment to Iraq. He spoke of their experiences in Iraq and expressed his gratitude for the support of our Association for his wounded and fallen troopers. | |
| 2006 |
The reunion in the Fort Lewis – Tacoma WA area went very well and a good time was had by all. Unfortunately, we also had to say goodbye to two of our squadrons; members attended the 1st Squadron's farewell ceremony as they prepare to redeploy to Iraq and the reflagging ceremony of the 2nd Squadron as it became a squadron of the 2nd Cavalry Regiment. If you have photos, please send them here. | |
| 2005 |
The
reunion in Germany during
the first days of June evoked powerful memories and was greatly enjoyed
by all 14th ACR veterans who attended. Attendees included two
troopers
(Ralph Houlihan and Dick Smith) who were members of the Regiment when
it was activated in 1948, and one, John Miller, who was the CSM when
the Regiment was reflagged in 1972. Another 1972 trooper present
was
General B.B. Bell presently CG, USAREUR. Other active duty
troopers
present were CSM Brian Shover and SSG Mathew Conover of the 1st
Squadron and COL Dana Pittard who commanded that squadron when it was
activated in 2000. A lot of photographs are available at the
Eaglehorse.org website. |
