Welcome to the 14th Cavalry Association's ‘STRYKEHORSE’ Squadron Page . The United States Army’s 2nd Squadron, 14th United States Cavalry, is one of only five units in the Army today tasked to conduct Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition for a Stryker Brigade Combat Team.
    
The squadron is part of the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. It is comprised of nearly 500 Troopers organized into one Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, three Line Cavalry Reconnaissance Troops and a Surveillance Troop with the mission of conducting all-weather, continuous, accurate and timely Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance and combat operations in complex, close and urban terrain.
    
The squadron currently shares the proud history of the 14th Cavalry Regiment with the 1st Squadron (THUNDERHORSE),14th Cavalry The 1st Squadron is part of the 3rd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division based at Fort Lewis, Wash and currently deployed to Iraq.  Pictures taken at the "Casing of the Colors" ceremony can be found

The 2nd Squadron returned from Iraq, supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom, in August 2009.
