In July 1998 a group of troopers who served in the period 1966-68 held a reunion in Bad Kissingen.  Here is a photo and some notes from Dick Harrington.


On this morning we were visiting the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry at Conn Barracks
norwest of Schweinfurt.  The backdrop is one of the Squadron's Kiowa helicopters.

Jeff was our Sergeant Major in the old days. John Graves was platoon sergeant and later platoon leader of 2nd platoon Troop H. Dennis Sharp is Terry Sharp's brother. Terry was in H Troop, Squadron Maintenance, and S-4.  Terry's sons and his brother came with him on the trip. Dave Porrell was a
lieutenant in HOW Battery. Paul Palmer was 2/14th CO in 1967. Jim Delark was a lieutenant in HOW Battery. Pat Keane was formerly H Troop CO.  Tom Woehler was Squadron surgeon. Sharon Riva is Dick Riva's wife. Dick (not pictured) was a lieutenant in G Troop. Don Nunley was not in 14th, but he and his wife are friends of Bill McDowell and came as guests. Bill McDowell was a lieutenant in G Troop then its CO. John Maiorano was G Troop clerk. Rob Stewart was a medic. Bill Renahan was a medic. Dick Harrington was lieutenant in F Troop and later CO of H Troop.  John and Peg Byers are not pictured. John was 2/14th CO following Paul Palmer.  John was in BK getting ready for our lunch with the mayor.  And Bob Bartholomew is not pictured.  Bob was a lieutenant in H and F Troops.

"Frontier Gals",  Bea Graves, Charlene Porrell, Anna Jeffries, Berenice Palmer, Elizabeth Keane, and Sharon Riva were in BK with their husbands in the old days.
